As requested, I'm using a larger font.
I made it to Japan yesterday. The flight was very long but Japan Airlines made it as plesant as flying economy can be. As opposed to US carriers where they charge you $8 for a box of crackers, JAL includes everything in your ticket. Even movies and booze. There were at least two meals (there might have been three but I'm not sure if what they brought was a Japanese breakfast or a snack). A bunch of snacks (I think one of the things they gave me was candied fish but I'm not sure, it was alright though). They even brought hot towels around.
Had my own little TV in the seat where I could watch movies, listen to music and play video games. I could also watch the route and where the plane was at any given time. There are even cameras in the nose and belly of the plane you can watch. Might be a little silly, but can you say you've seen mountains in Siberia? I can.
Customs was easy, so was changing my money and getting my rail pass. Everyone here is so polite that it's kind of creepy, but I like it.
Matthew took me out to eat last night and I don't think I'll ever be able to go out for what we call asian food again. I had no idea that egg drop soup is supposed to taste good. :) I'm going to have to get better with the sticks though.
UPDATE: Pictures of the plane, sort of.

I hope Matthew takes you to get some katsu-don or "udon" noodles.
Okay, I'm already jealous about the "camera in the belly of the plane" info. I love that stuff!
Looking forward to more postings..
